Hilton Downtown St Petersburg Wedding Reception

We were involved in a wedding in May 2007 for Natalie and Geoffrey that was dear to our hearts and taught us that even as Wedding Planners, you can still cry when a bride walks down the aisle at the gorgeous St Joseph’s Catholic Church in St. Petersburg Florida and her 500 plus guests watched on… Natalie married Geoffrey in an emotional Ceremony.  Thanks to being involved in Natalie’s wedding. Tammy Waterman ( Owner and Founder of Special Moments) received her Accredited Bridal Consultant status with the Association of Bridal Consultants and became the first planner in the Tampa Bay Area to achieve this status with the Association in November 2007 at the Association’s Annual Conference in Orlando which she was also on the committee for.

Here are also a few pictures from their wedding supplied by Brian C Idocks Photographics

“2007 Tampa Bay Photographer of the year.”

Thanks Brian for the amazing photographs!

Natalie and Geoffrey we totally miss you=)

University of Tampa Ceremony and Reception

On June 21st , 2007- We helped plan and Coordinate a wedding at The University of Tampa.  The wedding ceremony was suppose to be held outdoors on the steps of the Veranda.  It ended up raining so the ceremony was held in the Music Room.  It actually worked out better and we were all proud of the out come of the ceremony and reception.  Even though we had a few set backs with the rain and some vendors, the bride and groom had a wonderful time.  She touched our hearts when she walked into the reception room for a sneak peek saying “I feel like I should be on Platinum Weddings!”

The photos included are non- professional. We hope to add the professional pics once Anthem studios get those processed.

And a great Thank You to our vendor’s that helped as well,

Brides Against Breast Cancer

Every year we are involved in a fundraising  event called Brides Against Breast Cancer.  It is put on by the Making Memories Foundation and 100% of the proceeds go to granting wishes for people with terminal breast cancer.  For everyone involved it is truly a life changing weekend.  Take a look at this year’s video and you’ll see what I mean.  It was shot by an amazing videographer – Jayson with En Fuego Video.

Give it a moment, the video is loading

Anna Maria Island Wedding Ceremony & Reception

Nicole and Mike were married on June 14th, 2008 and their wedding this weekend was more amazing than I could ever have imagined. We stayed the entire weekend, that way we could stay up and finish all the small tedious details that no one likes to do.

The wedding was at Club Bamboo (which is beautiful) and if you rent out all 20 rooms, the entire resort is yours for the weekend. The resort is raised off the ground, so you can have your reception underneath all the rooms; and still be completely sheltered from inclimate weather. The resort is located right on the beach, so every seat at the reception is a sunset view.

We had never made an arch that was wide enough for the bride and groom to stand under, but it was the best looking arch we had ever put up.

We also strung paper lanterns across the pool; which was a difficult task because trying to hang paper lanterns over a pool, without having any lanterns drop in the pool, is tricky.

To dress up the reception area we hung a make shift “pipe and drape.” We used bamboo poles to tie into the rest of the resort, and white silk panels to drape the poles, and then tied them with raffia to keep them from blowing all over the place.

Overall, the wedding went amazing, and the bride and groom was so grateful at the end of the night, and that makes our job that more rewarding!
