Anna Maria Island Wedding Ceremony & Reception

Nicole and Mike were married on June 14th, 2008 and their wedding this weekend was more amazing than I could ever have imagined. We stayed the entire weekend, that way we could stay up and finish all the small tedious details that no one likes to do.

The wedding was at Club Bamboo (which is beautiful) and if you rent out all 20 rooms, the entire resort is yours for the weekend. The resort is raised off the ground, so you can have your reception underneath all the rooms; and still be completely sheltered from inclimate weather. The resort is located right on the beach, so every seat at the reception is a sunset view.

We had never made an arch that was wide enough for the bride and groom to stand under, but it was the best looking arch we had ever put up.

We also strung paper lanterns across the pool; which was a difficult task because trying to hang paper lanterns over a pool, without having any lanterns drop in the pool, is tricky.

To dress up the reception area we hung a make shift “pipe and drape.” We used bamboo poles to tie into the rest of the resort, and white silk panels to drape the poles, and then tied them with raffia to keep them from blowing all over the place.

Overall, the wedding went amazing, and the bride and groom was so grateful at the end of the night, and that makes our job that more rewarding!

Thanks for the post. I like your writing style – I’m trying to start a blog myself, I think I might read thru all your posts for some suggestions! Thanks once more. 570589

  2. Good read, I just passed this onto a colleague who was performing slightly research on that. And he just bought me lunch since I identified it for him smile So let me rephrase that: Thank you for lunch! 646291
